Yakabod is looking for a hands-on marketing director to lead Yakabod’s marketing function – including corporate marketing, content marketing and demand generation.

With a 23-year track record, Yakabod provides case management software for organizations where confidentiality matters. Our solutions support teams that manage highly sensitive investigations, incidents, and cases. Products include Insider Threat Case Manager and Cybersecurity Incident Manager, as well as a fully customizable enterprise case management platform. Yakabod customers include Fortune 1000 firms, higher-ed institutions, as well as military, intelligence and other government agencies. 

We’re looking for a marketing leader who is able to roll-up their sleeves to help take the company to the next level.

This is a hybrid role; the successful candidate will be expected to work 2-3 days per week at our headquarters in beautiful historic downtown Frederick, Maryland, but also has flexibility to work remaining hours remotely if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

    Work closely with our sales leaders to build and execute marketing programs that drive leads.

  • 02

    Conceptualize and lead the development of ongoing demand generation campaigns using such tactics as e-mail, digital advertising, LinkedIn, blogs, webinars, tradeshows and press releases.

    Develop, write and manage automated drip email campaigns.

  • 04

    Conceptualize, write and lead the creation of digital advertisements.

  • 05

    Oversee corporate marketing and branding, including the company website.

  • 06

    Continually monitor, analyze, and report on programs across a variety of metrics, including leads, opportunities, cost per lead, etc.

    Proactively make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs to increase ROI.

    Coordinate with our in-house graphic and web designers.

  • 09

    Guide external content creators to develop e-books, whitepapers, infographics, videos and other materials to fuel our marketing programs.

    Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database.

Key Requirements:

  • 01

    5+ years of enterprise, cybersecurity, and/or higher-ed software marketing experience.

  • 02

    Willingness to roll up your sleeves to manage/execute multiple projects simultaneously and under deadline.

  • 03

    Strong writer/editor with a proven record of building great content and compelling readers to action.

  • 04

    Outstanding project management, communication, and decision-making skills, with equally strong hands-on execution skills.

  • 05

    Detail-oriented, organized, able to set priorities, able to plan, able to execute and manage budgets.

  • 06

    Comfortable working independently with limited supervision, as well as collaborating with a team.

  • 07

    Hands-on experience implementing targeted database marketing programs that includes segmentation, personalization, and sequenced communications.

  • 08

    Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Pardot or Marketo.

  • 09

    Experience developing and managing webinars, as well as face-to-face events.
